Tinker Tools

Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Tinker Tools handles information when you use the service. The short version is that most tools process data locally in your browser and do not send your files or text to our servers.

1. Local Processing

Most of our 70+ tools run entirely on the client side. When you format text, merge PDFs, resize images, or use a calculator, the work is typically performed by JavaScript running in your browser. We do not receive or store the underlying tool inputs on an application server.

2. Features That Call Third Parties

A small number of tools need external services to function. The URL Shortener sends the URL you enter to TinyURL to create a short link. The Currency Converter requests exchange-rate data from a public API. Those requests are limited to the data needed for the feature itself.

3. Advertising and Consent

This deployment does not enable AdSense by default. We keep the ad integration behind an explicit launch gate until consent and policy requirements are complete. If advertising is enabled in a future deployment, we will use a consent flow to control when Google ad scripts load and we will update this policy to reflect the live setup.

4. Analytics

We do not currently run first-party analytics tags in this deployment. If that changes later, this page will be updated before the change is treated as part of the normal site behavior.

5. Cookies, Local Storage, and Fonts

We do not set first-party tracking cookies for normal tool usage. If advertising is enabled later, localStorage may be used to remember your consent choice and third-party ad cookies may be set by Google subject to the active consent configuration. We also load Material Symbols from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font assets directly from Google's servers.

6. Data Retention and Security

Because most tool inputs never reach our servers, there is usually no server-side copy for us to retain. We still take reasonable steps to protect the site itself, including HTTPS delivery and dependency updates, but browser-local processing is the main privacy control for user content.

7. International Use

The site is delivered through globally distributed infrastructure and some third-party services we rely on may process requests in multiple countries. If we enable advertising or additional integrations later, the relevant providers may process data outside your home country.

8. Your Rights

If you have a privacy question, correction request, or deletion request related to data that may have been processed through one of our third-party integrations, contact us through the contact page. We will respond based on the information available to us and the applicable law.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this page as the product changes. When we do, we update the date at the top of the page.
